In 2024, Second Baptist Church entered into a partnership with Jeff and Shelly Sulfridge, missionaries in Tok, Alaska. Jeff and Shelly moved to Alaska from East Tennessee to answer God’s call on their lives to reach native Alaskans with the gospel of Jesus Christ. SBC sends a team, each year, to assist them in a variety of ways. The teams go to remote villages and assist with a variety of ministries, including kids’ activities, community events, and light construction projects.
